The genre is set by the colours that have been picked; it is virtually black at the bottom of the poster gradually turning into a grey/blue colour in the middle then the green of the trees at the top. The trees also show where it will be set in the woods. The colours give a distorted feeling, as the blue/grey gives a mist appearance. The red colour of the title 'Eden lake' makes the film seem like a gory horror film. The medium long shot of the protagonist shows she is a final girl,which is found in horror film, the mise-en-scene of the girl is provoking with her low cut dress making her being seen like an object. This also helps attract the main audience of 16- 25 year old males and females. The low angle of the silhouettes show that they are the antagonist's. At the top of the poster there is a film review which is in a block capitalized font. This gives a seriousness to the film. You can tell it is a film poster with the steeltonge font saying the cast and crew. It also has a website and distribution companies on here too.
