Research and Planning: Magazine influences

On the front cover of this total film there is:
  •  only one photograph placed central, this is so there is no distraction and makes you focus on the one person.
  • The 3 colours used are simplistic.
  • The photograph is a medium long shot, this is like what I want my photograph to be like.
  • Font used is blocked and simple again to cause no confusion and no distraction.
  • Simplistic background again similar to what I would like mines like.

Research and Planning: Target audience for film magazine

After looking at different film magazines and what they seem to review I have decided that I want mine to be similar to Total Film and Empire.  Now I have figured out what I want it too look like I now need to think about my target audience.

Research and Planning: Meeting

Today Keisha and I had a meeting about our how we want the title of our film being presented on the teaser trailer.  We took an idea from River Road entertainment logo with the touchlight which goes across the screen to reveal he name of the company.  We have informed our media teacher and she said this is possible to do with cinema 4D, which she has the software for on her laptop, so she is going to bring it in so we can have a play around and see what looks good .

Research and Planning: Test shots

This is the test shot of what Keisha and I want our film trailer to look like.  We have only used the location which was avaiable to us on this day, so we used the college.  We have also not used all the actors which we plan to use on the day.

Research and Planning: Mise en scene for film magazine

As I am only having one main character I am going to have a female and this is what I am going to use:

  • Dark coloured pants either jeans or leggings  - from home
  • A hoody or coat - from home
  • Fake blood - £1-2 from fancy dress shop
  • backcomb hair to look mess
  • Make - up natural but ran.

Research and Planning: Mise en scene for film poster

For the film poster I plan to use:

  • The woodland area we are filming in.
  • One female character.
  • Scarecrow.
To create the genre this is what I will be dressing the female like:

  • Dark coloured pants either jeans or leggings  - from home
  • A hoody or coat - from home
  • Fake blood - £1-2 from fancy dress shop
  • backcomb hair to look mess
  • Make - up natural but ran.
To make the scarecrow I will dress them like:

  • Tweed jacket - from home
  • Black top - from home
  • Navy water proof pants - from home
  • string - from home
  • Straw - from local farm
  • Black boots - from home.

Research and Planning: Making of the scarecrow

Today was the strike for school so we had the day off to me and Keisha took this as an opportunity to make our scarecrow for our film trailer.

This is the straw we used to stuff the scarecrow.

We used this twining to tie the scarecrow to the pole.

Theses are the boots for the scarecrow.

We used theses pants for the scarecrow and stuffed them with straw and cut them.

We will be putting this on the scarecrows shoulder.

We used bags to also stuff the scarecrow.

This is the scarecrows pants once stuffed.

We used theses gloves for the scarecrows hands. We stuffed theses with straw.

The cat wanted to help stuff the scarecrow at this point.

This is the scarecrows top.

We have used theses planks of wood to make a cross to put the scarecrow on.

To make the cross we used hammer and nails.

This is where we built the scarecrow, not far from the location.

This is the cross we made.

This is the scarecrow fully made.

This is a video of Keisha making the scarecrow.
